Marine species Encyclopedia
Marine species are defined as any species that has a reliance on a marine environment. This includes everything from symbiotic algae zooxanthellae, residing in coral polys, to the world-travelling Wandering Albatross, the largest flying bird.
Marine fishes
Marine fish are defined as any species of fish which is adapted to life in a salt water environment. They may be found throughout Earth’s oceans, from the depths of the Marina Trench, to the crystal clear waters of the coral triangle. Included is everything from a tiny luminescent lantern fish to globe-trotting Whale sharks.
Corals
Corals are some of the simplest organisms within the animal kingdom. Comprised of polyps that together form colonies. Each polyp is an technically an individual animal.
